Day 1: Arrival in Leh and Light Evening Frames

Arrive at Leh airport and transfer to your hotel. Since altitude adjustment is essential, the day stays easy. After resting and hydrating, you can step out in the evening for gentle photo walks around Leh Market and nearby streets to capture Ladakh’s everyday life, warm shop lights, and mountain silhouettes in the background. Keep the pace slow and return early for dinner and rest. Overnight stay in Leh.

Day 2: Leh Cultural Photography Circuit (Thiksey, Shey, Hemis)

After breakfast, head out for a culture-heavy day with strong visual spots. Visit Shey Palace for its architecture and the large Buddha statue, then move to Thiksey Monastery for wide-angle valley views and detailed monastery frames. Later, visit Hemis Monastery, known for its scale and traditional Ladakhi design. Throughout the day, you will have time for slow shooting, compositions, and short breaks rather than rushed sightseeing. Return to Leh by evening for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardung La (High Pass and Valley Contrast)

After breakfast, drive to Nubra Valley via Khardung La Pass, stopping at viewpoints for mountain frames and road-shot compositions. As you descend, the landscape shifts into a mix of desert dunes and green villages, giving great contrast for photography. After check-in, head to Hunder Sand Dunes for sunset shots, textures, and silhouettes. Optional camel ride can be arranged at your own cost if available. Dinner and overnight stay in Nubra Valley.

Day 4: Nubra to Turtuk (Village Textures and Portrait Opportunities)

After breakfast, travel to Turtuk, known for its village lanes, wooden houses, greenery, and a distinct cultural feel. This day is designed for capturing softer, human-focused frames like village lifestyle shots, landscapes with poplar trees, and textured street scenes. Spend time exploring and composing shots at an easy pace. Return to Nubra by evening for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Nubra to Pangong Lake via Shyok Route (Remote Landscapes)

After breakfast, check out and drive to Pangong Lake via the Shyok route if open. This route offers raw and remote scenery that works well for landscape photography. Arrive near Pangong by late afternoon, check in, and spend time around the lake capturing reflections and changing light. Dinner and overnight stay near Pangong Lake.

Day 6: Pangong Sunrise, Then Drive to Hanle (Astro Setup Zone)

Start early to capture Pangong sunrise, when the lake often shows its best gradients and reflections. After breakfast, depart for Hanle, a region known for clear skies and minimal light pollution. On arrival, check in and spend the evening preparing for night-sky photography. Depending on conditions, you can capture star fields and wide sky frames late into the night while keeping safety and cold-weather comfort in mind. Overnight stay in Hanle.

Day 7: Hanle to Leh via Scenic Stops (Backup Shoots and Recovery Time)

After a relaxed morning, begin the return drive to Leh. This day includes flexible scenic stops for landscapes, road shots, and any missed frames due to weather earlier. Reach Leh by evening, check in, and rest. You can also do last-minute market shots or café interiors for travel storytelling content. Dinner and overnight stay in Leh.
