Day 1: Arrival in Leh and Acclimatization Day

Arrive at Leh airport and meet our representative for a smooth transfer to your hotel. Since Leh sits at a high altitude, today is kept light to help your body adjust. After check-in, rest, hydrate well, and take short, slow walks only if you feel comfortable. In the evening, you can visit the local Leh Market for a gentle introduction to Ladakh’s vibe, pick up essentials like water, sunscreen, and light snacks, and enjoy a calm first night. Overnight stay in Leh.

Day 2: Leh Local Sightseeing and Cultural Circuit

After breakfast, begin local sightseeing around Leh. Visit Shanti Stupa for panoramic views of the town and surrounding mountains, then explore Leh Palace to get a sense of Ladakh’s royal history. Continue to the Hall of Fame museum (a well-curated place to understand Ladakh’s geography and stories of the region). Later, visit Spituk Monastery or Sankar Monastery depending on time and comfort. Return to the hotel by evening, keeping the pace relaxed to avoid altitude fatigue. Overnight stay in Leh.

Day 3: Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardung La

After breakfast, drive to Nubra Valley through one of the most iconic high mountain roads, crossing Khardung La Pass. The route is scenic and dramatic, with frequent photo stops along the way. As you descend into Nubra, the landscape changes into a unique mix of sand dunes and green villages. On arrival, check in at your camp/hotel. Later, visit the sand dunes of Hunder and enjoy a peaceful walk through the area. If available and you wish to, you can take an optional double-humped camel ride. Evening is free to relax under Nubra’s open skies. Overnight stay in Nubra Valley.

Day 4: Nubra to Pangong Lake via Shyok Route

Post breakfast, depart for Pangong Lake. This day is a long yet stunning drive, commonly done via the Shyok route depending on road conditions. The journey takes you through remote Ladakhi terrain with mountain views and quiet stretches that feel untouched. Upon reaching Pangong, check in at your lakeside camp/cottage. Spend the evening by the lake, watching the changing shades of blue that Pangong is famous for. Keep warm, as temperatures drop quickly after sunset. Overnight stay near Pangong Lake.

Day 5: Pangong Lake to Leh (Return Drive)

Wake up early for a calm morning near Pangong, where the light often makes the lake look completely different than the previous evening. After breakfast, start your return journey to Leh via Chang La Pass. En route, enjoy scenic viewpoints and short breaks. On arrival in Leh, check in to your hotel and rest. If you still have energy, you can explore the market for souvenirs like pashmina blends, prayer flags, apricot products, and handicrafts. Overnight stay in Leh.

Day 6: Leh to Sham Valley Excursion (Magnetic Hill, Sangam, Monasteries)

After breakfast, head out for a day trip to Sham Valley. Visit the confluence at Sangam where the Indus and Zanskar rivers meet, then continue to Magnetic Hill and the famous Gurudwara Pathar Sahib. You can also visit Alchi Monastery (known for its ancient art) and/or Likir Monastery depending on time. This route is less exhausting than the high-pass days and gives you a different side of Ladakh with villages and river valleys. Return to Leh by evening. Overnight stay in Leh.
